Las Papaz is a casual, American-style restaurant in Los Olivos, La Paz, known for its hearty burgers and breakfast options. The setting strikes a balance between indoor comfort, complete with air conditioning, and an open, gated outdoor area that provides a pleasant breeze—ideal for mornings or early evenings when the sun is less intense. This mix makes it a relaxed spot whether you’re looking to start your day with a filling breakfast platter or settle in for a casual lunch or dinner.

The menu leans heavily into familiar, satisfying dishes like their Combo Burger, Hamburguesa Medina, and standout breakfast items such as Chilaquiles Rojos or a generous Breakfast Platter. Drinks like Hibiscus (Jamaica) water and homemade Agua de Horchata add a refreshing and local touch, complementing the food without overpowering it. Portion sizes are generous, giving good value especially for those who enjoy pairing dishes or sharing combos.

Locally, Las Papaz feels like a dependable choice for those who want tasty, straightforward American and breakfast fare without complicated ordering or overly fancy presentation. It’s well suited for neighborhood residents who appreciate a friendly, attentive staff and fair prices. The gated outdoor seating provides privacy and a calm atmosphere, which can be a nice break from busier streets and more tourist-heavy areas.

Best times to visit tend to be outside the peak sun hours—morning or late afternoon—when the outdoor space feels most comfortable. The indoor seating offers shelter and cool air if summer heat becomes a factor, making it flexible for different seasons or weather conditions.

Overall, Las Papaz fits best for visitors looking for a no-nonsense spot to enjoy American burgers and traditional breakfast favorites, with a casual vibe that reflects the laid-back character of Los Olivos.

Originally I came in early for the baked potatoes but unfortunately they start serving them after 4pm. Anyway, I ended up getting the big breakfast platter…. Everything was good, even the Jamaica (hibiscus) water was so refreshing. It’s also a big plus they got indoor seating with AC. Overall it’s a really nice place with fair prices. Totally recommended!

Great spot. Outside with a fresh breeze. Good burgers and big salads. Tucked away in a nice neighborhood.

Great food with great flavors and great amount of combos available. They also have great prices. Miller with 2 cups called La Diabla. Perfect for 2 people. Love the great service they have very friendly and polite. Its nive place to eat if theirs no sun because its an open space but gated so it gives you the privacy you need.
